Doll Ministry

Taylor Mackey of Little River Baptist Church asked me to share with our TBA churches about the ministry of a retired Independent missionary who lives in Brevard in case you would be interested in helping her in any way.

Her name is Flo McCrary – 828-884-6443 – 3596 Wilson Road, Pisgah Forest.   Mrs. McCrary calls her ministry “The Heart of God” ministry.

It is my understanding that Mrs. McCrary makes dolls to sell to make money to send to foreign countries and local ministries like sending them to a man named Samuel who is a missionary in India who helps widows and children.  Samuel also buys rice to buy for these widows with monies that Mrs. McCrary sends him.  Mrs. McCrary also helps support local people who suffer with additions, supports Life Changers, Joy Outrerach, “The River Outreach”. She also makes these dolls for “Operation Christmas Child.”

Mrs. McCrary helps sign for the deaf, is  former teacher and now God has opened this door to make dolls.  She is setting up part of her double wide mobile home with work areas for others to help her make these dolls.  If interested in helping her or knowing more about this Brevard ministry to help others and to help share Jesus, she welcomes anyone to call her for more information.

At the current time, Mrs. McCrary could use collections of brown yarn, goldish-yellow yard for the doll’s hair, eyelet lade about 3/4″-1″, black thread, any solid-colored cotton or flannel fabric.  If you have cotton or flannel with very small print, that is usable also.
