Church Events

Blue Ridge-  October 21 (Friday) 7:30—Youth Worship; Food and Fellowship following worship.  EVERYONE (Adults & Youth)  is invited to attend; Boylston—Sept.9th-Emergency Services Appreciation Day-We honored Firefighters and their families from Mills River FD and North Transylvania Fire Rescue. They surprised Preacher Jimmy by honoring him for his many years as chaplain. A covered dish dinner followed the services. The Oaks-Sept.15-We had a church wide Work day; Sept.23-Homecoming with “Simple Faith” and Dr. Jack Holland and a covered dish dinner following the services.  We are still in need of a church organistDunn’s Rock Recently had baptism of three followed by a celebration meal.!!! Our children and students participated in a Farm Fun Day.  The Dunn’s Rock  family has begun “The Gospel Project” Bible study on Sunday mornings  for all age levels. We have sent mission teams recently to PA as well as participated in NC Missions Offering, hurricane relief and local school outreach. We plan to have future teams going to help with disaster recovery and Appalachian Christmas Outreach.  Little River Baptist Church The Bluegrass 5K Run-Walk is a new race for the Little River Valley.  All funds will go toward Haiti Missions.   Morningside—Currently doing a discipleship study “The Journey” with classes for men and women on Sunday nights at 6:00 pm.  The church participated in National Back To Church Sunday on September 16th, but postponed their barbecue dinner until October due to the weather from Florence.  The date is still to be finalized, but will be posted on the church website as soon as it is set.  In October, the church will have a Gideon Speaker sharing.  There is a new Bible Study and Prayer time available on Wednesday nights at 6:00 pm.  The Celebration choir will begin work on their Christmas program in October as well.  The church called Reverend Jerald Willingham as Interim Pastor starting in September.  On October 31st, the church will have it’s annual Fall Festival from 6:00-8:30 pm.  There will be free hot dogs, candy, popcorn, cotton candy and more.  There will be a fire pit for toasting marshmallows and lots of fellowship and friendly conversation.   New Hope2 were baptized!!! Home Coming was Sept 23 with Dr. Mike Miller preaching; 10 am Special Music; 11 am Guest Speaker; Meal After Service; Everyone Welcome

Cost – approx. $1,350 per person (depends on plane tickets) (Cost covers: round trip flights from Raleigh, Charlotte, or Greensboro to Miami/Cuba and back; Lodging, meals and transportation in Cuba; Supplemental medical insurance; travel visa; t-shirt)  Please email Paul Langston (plangston@ncbaptist.org) or Tom Beam (tbeam@ncbaptist.org) to secure your spot. We are limited to 6 people for the team. Once you email, you will be given instructions on how to go online to register and pay for the vision trip.
